- Kids should be stopped from playing outdoors or limit their sports activities to indoor.
- An adecuate amount and one can also have Fenugreek seeds soaked in water overnight for detoxification. Also, increase intake of citrus fruits.
- Usage of N95/N99 masks/other protections while travelling outdoor or riding a bike as well as auto may give you protection from this hazardous exposure.
- Indoor air purifiers with good air exchange rate can keep your indoor air clean. While in car ensure frequent air exchange as high CO accumulation may lead to strokes and cardiac arrests in heart patients.
- Chemical-based air fresheners such as air wick/odonil etc, are not recomended and for ventilation open your windows/doors only when the sun is bright; better would be in afternoon
- In case you feel suffocated, dip a tea bag into a steamer and inhale steam it helps in relaxing the respiratory passage. However, consult your doctor in case of an emergency.
