Apple Macbook Pro: See what changed in the latest event

Tim Cook presented the latest Mac Book pro features we would see in coming weeks, at the second apple event in the past two months. A major overhaul in Apple’s features had come after 4 years.

According to Apple, the new MacBook Pro is the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful version of the Pro till date. The 13 inches version will weigh 3 pounds, while 15 inches weigh 4 pounds.

The new features are : Track Pad and the Touch Bar.

The new track pad is double the size, the “butterfly” keyboard seen on the most recent MacBooks. The new architecture ensures it is quieter and lessens system overheating.

A mini Retina display, Touch Bar has replaced function keys. Touch Bar lets you interact directly with whatever application you are using. It can be customised as per use. TouchID, on the right side of this bar includes the new Apple T1 chip for security.

Apple suited up the rest of the hardware, 67% brighter display for the 15 inches laptop. Intel core i5 and i7 chips are used. Speed has been increased upto 130%.

The new Pro is available now starting at $1499 and will be shipping in the coming weeks. The entry-level Touch Bar equipped MacBook Pro, is for $1,799.

Apple seems to have pulled out the 11-inch MacBook Air from all of its online stores. The base-level MacBook Air is now the 13-inch for $999.

Other features announced at the event, were memories, that uses AI and facial recognition and is a popular addition to the photo app.

Also, a New cross-platform app called TV will allow you to track your favorite shows and movies across the video apps on Apple TV platform.
