Idol stolen from temple

\ Coimbatore, Oct 26 (PTI) A panchaloha (five metal) idol of\a Goddess was found stolen from a temple in the city outskirts\today, police said.\ The theft of the two-and-half feet tall Amman idol came to\light when the priest found the back door of the temple broke\open and informed police.\ When police entered the temple, they saw the almirah in\which the idol was usually kept broke open and the idol\missing.\ Some gold and silver ornaments also kept in the almirah\were found intact, indicating the target of the culprits was\the idol.\ Police said they were investigating whether idol smugglers\were behind the incident.
