Itanagar: Amid big turmoil in the state, BJP all set to join Pema Khandu led PPA government in Arunachal Pradesh as BJP’s Tamiyo Taga has been recruited as the minister, BJP State President has confirmed his recruitment in a statement.
Earlier in September, all of its MLAs, including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, joined the People’s Party of Arunachal Pradesh, as a shocking turn for Congress.

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu on Friday declared that the judgment of 43 Congress MLAs to join Peoples’ Party of Arunachal, was conscious and unanimous and also for the goodwill of the state and the people.
“It is an undeniable fact that for a resource-stressed state like Arunachal it has to depend on the Centre for all its needs. It is difficult to make things done at the Centre with the political difference,” Khandu said.
He said the decision to join the PPA was “conscious and unanimous” as most of the MLAs stated their opinions in the meeting convened Friday morning. He also added that it was necessary to go for a change in order to get more development funds from the Centre.
The only MLA who is standing with the Congress is Nabam Tuki, the one who was replaced as Chief Minister when the Congress, in an attempt to repress the rebellion, succeeded him with Khandu in July.

In the Assembly of 60, Congress had 47 MLAs, BJP has 11 and the two are independent. Rank of two Congress MLAs is yet to be chosen as they put in their records before the continuous series of political advancements that directed to the fall of Tuki government in January 2016 and induction of the late Kalikho Pul government.
Late Kalikho Pul, had committed suicide last month, was ordered to resign in July following a Supreme Court judgment and following to that Pema Khandu again took over the government.
