Kollam, Sep 20 (PTI) Nine wagons of a goods traincarrying fertilisers derailed near here, disrupting railtraffic between Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam sections,officials said today. The derailment occurred last night at Matharithottam nearSasthamcotta near Karunagapalli causing damage to rail trackand overhead electric lines. The train was on its way from Madurai to Kottayam. Ten passenger trains were cancelled and four others shortterminated and rail traffic between Kollam and Kayamkulamstations were regulated on a single line, officials said. Though no long-distance express train were cancelled,four of them were diverted. Traffic on the section is expected to become normal byevening. Departure of few express trains fromThiruvananthapuram have also been rescheduled,officials said. On August 28, 12 bogies of the Mangaluru-bound Expresstrain had derailed at Karukutty, about 45 km from Kochi. PTICORR JRK BNDV
