Films from Romania, Algeria to be screened at Jagran Film Fest

Mumbai, Sep 20 (PTI) The seventh edition of JagranFilm Festival in Mumbai will showcase award-winning films fromacross the globe like Algerian film "Road to Istanbul" and"Sieranevada" from Romania. The festival, which began in New Delhi on July 1,travelled to several cities including Lucknow and Kanpur. Itwill culminate in Mumbai in October, a press release issuedhere said. Ten films from various parts of the world will bescreened for world cinema enthusiasts between September 26 toOctober 2, 2016. The 10 films include – Algerian film "Road toIstanbul" by Rachid Bouchareb, internationally acclaimedRomanian movie "Sieranevada" by Critsi Puiu, "The First, TheLast" by Bouli Lanners, "Mahana", a thriller from Chile "ThePlants", "Hear the Silence" by Ed Ehrenberg from Germany. "Chato, the King of Brazli" by Guilherme Fontes, "AlMassira, The Green March" from Morocco by Youssef Britel,"Madagascar" the Cuban classic by Fernando Pérez Valdés, "DanaDana" (Pearl Pearl), a film from war-torn Iraq and "World Cup"from Syria directed by Twin brothers called Malas. "It is a golden opportunity for all those who likewatching world cinema, since it’s a beautiful amalgamation ofcelebrated films of different genres and cultures," Jagranspokesperson said.
