E-rickshaw drivers protest against ‘illegal extortion’ in

Noida Noida, Sept 20 (PTI) E-rickshaw drivers today staged aprotest against "illegal extortion" by contractors here,police said. E rickshaw drivers alleged that the accused used tocollect Rs 30 every day from all rickshaw drivers who passthrough sector 7. They alleged police connivance too, theysaid. "Around 50 E-rickshaw drivers had come and lodged acomplaint. The accused Dev Yadav has been arrested onextortion charge," Sector 20 police station SHO Amar NathYadav said. MLA Vimla Batham reached the police station in support ofthe drivers after which the police lodged an FIR and arrestedthe accused. PTI CORIKA
