Turn up the volume as ‘Magic’ is back. You guessed it right; ‘Rock On 2’ is all set to hit theaters on November 11th. The first teaser of the second edition of Rock On! was released online on Monday.
Eight years after the success of the first film, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the sequel features most of the original cast — Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, and Prachi Desai — along with new additions Shraddha Kapoor and Shashank Arora.
In the teaser, we’re told that the rock band Magik, which had disbanded again, has reunited one more time after several years. Kapoor’s character, who plays keyboards for the band, also possesses vocal talents, which leads to Akhtar (the band’s frontman) egging her on to go ahead and display them to the world. Arora’s character is said to be the band’s bass player — a welcome addition, since a bass guitarist is a key member of most rock bands, a detail that was ignored by the first film.
A slightly modified version of the title track from the original film is heard, featuring vocals by Farhan Akhtar as well as Shraddha Kapoor.
