Modi thanked Macri for Argentina’s strong support forIndia’s NSG membership and said it was important in thecontext of India’s clean energy needs, Swarup said. Macri said Argentina was keen to support India’s nuclearenergy needs and stressed on the need to diversify Argentina’sexports to India while inviting Indian companies toparticipate in the exploration of shale gas reserves inArgentina. They also discussed India’s draft for a BilateralInvestment Treaty and agreed to expand cooperation in areassuch as agriculture, solar energy, mining and hydro carbons.
