Saini for 100 pc reservation for all

Rohtak (HR), Aug 28 (PTI) Kurukshetra BJP MP Raj KumarSaini today pitched for 100 per cent reservation for allcastes proportionate to their population in government jobsand educational institutions. "We want 100 per cent reservation for all castes,including Jats, so that nobody can cheat any community of itsrights," Saini said while addressing a rally in grain marketat Rohtak amid tight security. "If somebody wants reservation by blocking roads, thenit is better to give 100 per cent reservation to allcommunities as per their population," said Saini. "People can be given reservation on the basis ofeconomic situation and merit," he further said. Saini said no political party has been able to eliminatethe ‘jaati pratha’ (caste system) in the country. "Even big political parties also look at castes as votebank," he said, adding, "when people belonging to upper castescome to power, they oblige their community and also claim therights of people of lower castes. Therefore, 100 per centreservation be given." Saini also suggested dispensing with Rajya Sabha,alleging that members of the upper House "work against thecountry". "This (RS) was set up by Britishers. But it continued tofunction after the Independence so that freedom fighters couldgive their valuable suggestions. But they are no more. A partywhich has majority in Lok Sabha does not get majority in RSfor several years and members of Upper House with illintention create obstacles in the government work.
