AAP holds protests against civic bodies

New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) AAP today staged protests acrossthe national capital against the civic bodies, claiming thatmoney for several projects has been released under the MLAfund but MCD is yet to begin work on them. "Money under the MLA fund was released almost a yearback but MCD has failed to carry out works in several wards.MCD is purposely delaying the work and acting under pressure,"AAP’s Delhi unit secretary Saurabh Bharadwaj said. AAP volunteers protested in some nearly 40 wards here. The party has been at the loggerhead against thecivic bodies governed by BJP and has often accused MCD ofcorruption.
