Vijayawada, Aug 26 (PTI) Telugu filmstar and Jana SenaParty leader Pawan Kalyan is all set to address a publicmeeting in Tirupati tomorrow after a long gap, arousingcuriosity about the sudden purpose of the event. Of late, Kalyan has not spoken anything on issuesconcerning the state and he even did not tweet anything afterApril 30 though he became a subject of criticism on socialmedia over his continued silence on the special categorystatus to Andhra Pradesh. Kalyan had been a vocal supporter of Prime MinisterNarendra Modi and has remained rather "friendly" with ChiefMinister N Chandrababu Naidu. His only recent statement on the special status issue waswhen he met former CM of Karnataka Kumara Swamy in Hyderabadon August 20. "It is a sensitive issue and I will respond at anappropriate time," Kalyan said that day. It is expected that he may come out clearer on theissue at the public meeting tomorrow. Kalyan had been camping in the temple town of Tirupati forthe last twodays. Yesterday, he visited the family of his fan and JanaSena worker Y Vinod Kumar who was allegedly stabbed to deathby the fans of another film star NTR Jr. Kalyan grieved the death and consoled Vinod’s familyand was distraught to know that the engineering student hadplans of flying to the US for further studies. Today, the star visited Tirumala Hills and worshippedLord Venkateswara and will again take part in the SuprabhataSeva of the Lord in the wee hours tomorrow. Later tomorrow evening he will address the publicmeeting at Indira grounds but there is no clarity yet onwhy the meeting is being organised without any formalannouncement. "We will take a decision on giving permission for theevent depending on the prevailing conditions. Our staff isjust returning from Pushkaram duties," Tirupati Urban SPVijayalakshmi said.
