Two established actors to join ‘Aankhen 2’ star cast

Mumbai, Aug 18 (PTI) Director Anees Bazmee says hewill soon announce the names of two "established actors" whowill join the star cast of "Aankhen 2". Makers of the sequel of 2002 "Aankhen" last nightofficially announced the star cast for the film, which hasmegastar Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, ArshadWarsi, Ileana D’Cruz, southern actress Regina Cassandra onboard. A video clip of the star cast was screened at theevent which also showed a character in the film, named Rahul -The mysterious man – whose identity is yet to be unveiled. "There will be two more actors for ‘Aankhen 2’, onewho will play the role of a blind man, named Rahul. The actorwho will play this part is a well known actor from the youngergeneration. There would be another well known actor who wouldbe part of the film as well," Bazmee told PTI. In the second installment, Arjun, Arshad will play therole of blind men, while there would be one more young actorwho would join the duo to carry out the heist. The "Welcome Back" helmer without divulging much aboutthe role of another well known actor, said, "He is a greycharacter, but he is comedian also." Meanwhile, grapevine was abuzz that either AkshayKumar or Abhishek Bachchan was going to be a part of "Aankhen2". When asked about it, Bazmee said, "There was lot ofspeculation happening about the casting like Katrina Kaif isgoing to be part of it, Abhishek and Akshay but we never gaveout any names." According to Bazmee, official announcement about thetwo actors will be made soon. First part, "Aankhen" saw three blind men, played byArjun, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar, rob a bank that was onceheaded by Bachchan. Though the basic premise of the story is same, Bazmeesays, sequel will have a different angle with the heistcentring around a casino. "The three blind men will rob casino. Till now norobbery has taken place in a casino. We will shoot in a casinoabroad for this," he added. PTI KKP ARS JCHRDS
