ItzCash eyes Rs 5,000-cr from entertainment segment by FY18

Mumbai, Aug 18 (PTI) Digital payments company ItzCashtoday said it is betting big on Indian entertainment industryand is eyeing Rs 5,000 crore from the segment by FY18. The company, which entered entertainment space nine yearsago with satellite cable/DTH recharge for Dish TV, currentlygarners 20-22 per cent of its business from the segment. It has been witnessing a growth of approximately 40 percent year-on-year in the entertainment sector and has arevenue of Rs 3,000 crore at present from this segment. "With the country’s strongest offline network reach,comprising more than 75,000 retail touch points and a dominantplay in the DTH and Cable TV segment, the company is nowvigorously eyeing movie bookings and mobile TV sectors todrive incremental growth for the next two fiscals," ItzCashsaid in a statement. The company has tied-up with BookMyShow and dittoTV andplans to aggressively build its customer base in the onlineentertainment industry. PTI DS DK BALABKRDS
