Winning medals is not everything in life: Big B

Mumbai, Aug 17 (PTI) Lauding the hardwork of the Indianathletes, megastar Amitabh Bachchan today came out in theirsupport, saying winning medals is not everything. Rio Olympic 2016 is nearing its end but India stillawaits a tick on its medal tally. "They (athletes) need support of the whole country. It’snot an easy task to go up there and perform the way they aredoing. I really applaud the fact that they are able to bringthe name of the country on an international platform, that’smost credible. It’s a tough job and it’s difficult to bethere," he said. According to Big B the fact that the athletes arerepresenting India on an international platform is a hugething. "It’s extremely laudable that we had to so much talentthere representing the country. It’s another matter that theyare not able to bring in medals. But medals are not everythingin life," he said.
