Digvijaya advises PM to shed ‘confrontationist attitude’

Adilabad (Tel), Aug 16 (PTI) Senior Congress leaderDigvijaya Singh today asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi toshed his "confrontationist attitude" for finding a solution tothe Kashmir problem. Speaking to reporters here, Digvijaya also raked upthe handling of the Pathankot terror attack by the Centre andits aftermath. "BJP is a coalition partner with PDP in J&K. But the twoparties do not agree on basic issues. They want to retain onlypower. Congress has suggested taking an all-party delegationto Kashmir valley for achieving peace. Please agree to that,"he said. "If you want peace there (in Kashmir), then Modi-ji dropyour confrontationist attitude. Stop making provocativespeeches," he said. He ridiculed Modi’s unscheduled visit to Pakistan toattend a wedding in Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’sfamily. The NDA government should have put conditions beforeallowing Pak investigators to probe the Pathankot incident, hesaid. "During the oath ceremony he (Modi) invited Pakistan(Nawaz Sharif) and without any formal invitation he broke offhis journey from Afghanistan to attend a family wedding. Andtwo days later the Pathankot attack took place where four orfive terrorists came….NIA says there were six terrorists.But there were only four bodies found. Where were the othertwo terrorists?"
