Two booked for attempting to rape minor girl

Muzaffarnagar, Jun 29 (PTI) Two persons have been bookedfor allegedly attempting to rape a 14-year-old girl at Kakrolivillage in the district, police said today. A case was registered against the accused Asif and Javedfor forcefully entering the victim’s house and attempting torape her yesterday, SHO Sanjiv Sharma said. Asif was beaten up by the people and handed over to thepolice, he said, adding the other accused was absconding. In another incident, a 9-year-old boy was allegedlysodomised in Kotwali area yesterday, police said. A case has been registered against the accused Shahid inthis regard and efforts are on to trace him, they said. According to the complaint registered by the victim’sfamily, the boy was lured by the accused to a room bypromising him toffees and later sodomised him, police added.PTI CORR SRY DVSRY
