J&K govt orders transfer of 31 senior officers

Srinagar: In a major administrative reshuffle, Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred 31 senior officers, including the Kashmir Divisional Commissioner and Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations, an official spokesperson said today.

The transfer and posting of the bureaucrats, including 10 IAS officers, were approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti yesterday, the spokesperson said.

Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Asghar Samoon, has been posted as Commissioner Secretary in Higher Education Department, and Department of Information and Public Relations Director Zubair Ahmad, has been posted as Special Secretary in the Home Department.

Senior IAS officer Baseer Ahmad Khan has been posted in Samoons place as Kashmir Divisional Commissioner while Bashir Ahmad Dar, who is special secretary in the Chief Ministers Office, has been given additional charge as director of the Department of Information and Public Relations.

Senior IAS officer B B Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning Development and Monitoring Department shall hold the additional charge of Relief and Rehabilitation Department till further orders.

Bipul Pathak, Chairman, Special Tribunal, J&K was posted as Commissioner Secretary in Transport Department.

Vinod Koul, Commissioner Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Science and Technology Department has been transferred and posted as Chairman, J&K Special Tribunal.

Sarita Chouhan, Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department shall hold the additional charge of the post of Administrative Secretary, Science and Technology Department Mohammad Afzal Bhat, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Department be transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary to Government, Floriculture Department, relieving Farooq Ahmad Shah of the additional charge.

R K Bhagat, Secretary to Government, Transport Department has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Government, Animal and sheep Husbandry Department.
