7 Life Lessons that F.R.I.E.N.D.S. taught us

Personally, I feel that if you haven’t watched the American sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S., you’re missing something in life. Six reckless adults- Phoebe Buffay, Rachel Green, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing, and Ross Geller, living a very cool life made us fall for them instantly.

Lasting for over 10 seasons, the show taught us a lot of lessons about life, some of which are listed below-

It’s okay to express your actual feelings

Whether you’re awkward or vulnerable, hopeless or desperate for love, don’t be afraid to show it across. It’s absolutely fine to feel and display it.

You need true friends to get through life

It is hard to find the right kind of people in your life. But if you do find someone who is always supportive of you and loves you, no matter what, don’t lose them because to get through all ups and downs, you will require their back.

7 Life Lessons that F.R.I.E.N.D.S. taught us

We can’t have control over everything in life

Certain things in life will always be beyond our control and we can do nothing about it. Even the ‘always organised-control freak’ Monica could not get a perfect life. Big deal?

Hold on to your dreams and work hard to achieve them

At the beginning of the series we see young people in their 20s struggling hard, doing odd jobs just to make their ends meet. But as the show concludes, we witness them holding high positions in their lives- head chef, tv star, executive. It’s only due to constant hard work and sheer determination that eventually things get sorted for them.

Being silly is not bad

Even after you grow up and mature, it is okay to be silly and have fun. Life is too short to be lived so seriously, after all. But don’t forget, laughing with someone and laughing at someone are two different things.

Caffeine always works

Haven’t you noticed Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler and Ross spend a lot of their time in Central Perk? By the way, research says that a cup of coffee in the morning helps in preventing diabetes, besides lowering the risk of liver disease. Whoa!

Happiness is a choice and comes from within

Even when you are surrounded with the clouds of sadness, never stop choosing to be happy. Of course, it can be achieved under any circumstance. Remember Phoebe? Tadaang!
