RaGa receives Tamil Nadu Death threat, Cong seeks security

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has received a death threat, prompting the Congress to seek enhanced security for Gandhi from Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Congress leader Anand Sharma said that congress leader V Narainswamy received a letter written in Tamil citing a specific threat to Gandhi’s life during an election rally in Puducherry. Congress also raised the issue of mass transfer of over 400 special protection group personnel which has been guarding the VVIP’s including the prime minister, former Prime Ministers and the Gandhi family.

Gandhi is also protected by the special protection group and his father former Premier Rajiv Gandhi was killed in an election rally in Sriperamdur in Tamil Nadu.
