Captain America: Civil War

This is a super movie weekend as the movie buffs will get to watch three diametrically opposite  films; Traffic, One Night Stand and Hollywood superhero flick, Captain America: Civil War. From the Bollywood stable one after another the moviegoers are getting to see small films, but big on story and content.

Captain America: Civil War

Captain America opening was to packed houses this weekend and had a pull factors in the Metros this weekend. High on VFX laced stunts and backed by what seems to be a gripping story, Captain America follows the record-breaking footsteps of The Jungle Book.

The much-awaited superhero film ‘Captain America: Civil War’ has a running time of two hours and 27 minutes, making it the longest film from Marvel Studios till date.
It’s four minutes longer than the previous title holder, 2012’s ‘The Avengers’, according to the reports. ‘Captain America: Civil War’ is likely to need the expanded length.

Traffic

This week’s Bollywood release is Traffic, a film that stars Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Sheirgill, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Divya Dutta, Amol Parashar and Vishal Singh. At the heart of the story is the ‘green corridor initiative — an emergency road used to transfer donor organs from one hospital to the other.

Manoj plays a traffic constable who is on a mission to transfer a donor’s heart from Mumbai to a patient in Pune. It’s a true story about the Traffic Police who save the life of a girl by transporting a heart by road in 150 minutes.

One Night Stand


The other film this week is One Night Stand. It stars Sunny Leone, Tanuj Virwani, Nyra Banerjee. It is about two strangers who decide to go in for a one night stand. While the lady with a mature head on her shoulders Sunny, in this case, moves on, the guy Tanuj Virwani just can’t get her out of his head and that’s where the trouble begins in paradise. The biggest reason to watch One Night Stand is Sunny Leone. She is the reigning queen of adult comedy in Bollywood. After hits like Ek Paheli Leela, Jism 2 and Ragini MMS it’s up to Sunny Leone to turn on the oomph and make the film work at the box office

1920 London

1920 London, a movie about chasing an “aatma” that resides in a locked in this Sharman Joshi, Meera Chopra starer. This is the third in Bhatt’s series of films with 1920 in the title, and the locket finds our couple, Shivangi (Meera Chopra) and Veer-sa (Vishal Karwal), on one of those afternoons that they spend lovingly having tea together in a castle that should give the Queen something to think about (or at least Will and Kate). During a song sequence establishing both that love and that wealth, Veer-sa acquires a barrister degree.
