Six-year-old dies in capital’s Ryan International School

New Delhi: A six year old student of capital’s Ryan International School was found dead in the school premises on Saturday.

The boy was a student of first standard of Ryan International School in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj.

Six year old Devanesh was found dead in a pit near the school’s amphitheater.

According to reports the incident took place around noon but the police were informed by the hospital where he was taken.

As quoted in a report, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Premnath said that the police were informed around 2.40 pm. “The child was brought dead (to the hospital). We are probing the case,” he said.

“(The) child went missing when the seventh period was on. There was a poetry competition in school that is why the child was here. (We) will take legal action. His father works in a government hospital,” the police officer said.

The police have moved the body to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a post mortem examination to find out what may have caused his death, sources said. More details are awaited.
