Delhi Police issues alert about missing Alto car hired from Pathankot

New Delhi: In the wake of terror alert across the nation, Delhi Police on Friday issued an alert about white ‘Alto’ car which went missing after it was hired by three unknown people from Pathankot.

In a tweet, the police said the driver, Vijay Kumar, of the car was found dead on January 20 and that his body was recovered from the Kalta Bridge in Kangra district.

According to police search operation to track the car is underway and asked people to stay aware and spread the information. The vehicle registration number is HP 01D 2440.

Security agencies are on alert after six Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorists had attacked the Pathankot air base on January 2. It took three days for the security forces to neutralise the terrorists and seven jawans laid down their lives during the operations.
