12-year-old Sikh boy arrested as classmate accuses him of carrying a bomb

Date:

It was not long back when a young Muslim boy was suspected to have brought a bomb to school in US. It looks like these incidents are on repeat mode. A similar incident has been reported in Texas.

Armaan Singh Sarai, a student at Nichols Junior High School in Arlington, Texas, aged 12, was arrested by police officials and jailed for three days after a bully in his class reportedly accused him of having a bomb.

But police officials maintained that the boy joked about blowing the school up and that they arrested the boy because ‘making a terroristic threat’ is a felony in the US.

According to police, after arresting the boy, they handed him over to the Juvenile Justice Department after finding that the bomb claim was indeed a joke.

An emotional post shared on Facebook by the boy’s cousin describes a narrative that’s becoming increasingly common and scary in the US.

“On Friday, December 11th, 2015, my cousin attended school, like any other normal 12 year old child. A bully in class thought it would be funny to accuse him of having a bomb, and so the principal, without any questioning, interrogation, or notification to his parents, called the police. Worried & frightened at home, his family was concerned as to why he had not reached home right after school. They started calling every police department in the area, only to find out he was sent to a Juvenile facility,” boy’s cousin, Ginee Haer, in her Facebook post.

Ginee Haer took to Facebook post, to exclaim how her 12-year-old cousin, Armaan Singh Sarai, was whisked away by police officials after a bully in his class made a bomb allegation.

This goofball on the left in this picture is my 12 year old cousin, Armaan Singh Sarai. He was born and raised in Texas…
