New Delhi: Patna’s Gandhi Maidan is all set to witness the oath taking ceremony of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the third time on Friday.
The event will witness the presence of many important leaders of the nation including Chief Ministers of several states.
Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, his National Conference counterpart Farooq Abdullah and Congress leaders in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Ghulam Nabi Azad are in the guest list.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also confirmed that she would attend the ceremony.
Though Nitish Kumar also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but the PM is unable to attend the event due to ‘prior engagements’.
Union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Rajiv Pratap Rudy will attend the event on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA Government.
Prime Minister earlier congratulated Nitish on the day of the poll results on November 8 after the grand alliance (Mahagathbandhan) secured a massive victory in Bihar Assembly elections.
