Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain said on Sunday that the party was poised for a win in the heartland state of Uttar Pradesh, despite the rout it faced in neighbouring Bihar.

He said that that Bihar results are a lesson for the party, and it will course-correct to win in UP.
“BJP will fight against it strongly and we will win in UP,” Hussain told the media.

Hussain took a dig at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, saying that his government had failed to maintain law and order, and wants to do divide the people and do politics

“In Uttar Pradesh (UP) there is no rule of the government, Akhilesh Yadav has failed to maintain law and order in UP. Whatever incidents takes place in UP.it is the failure of Mulayam Singh’s governance. Anything that happens in their state, they blame BJP for it.”

The amount of communal tension created by Akhilesh Yadav’s ministers is very unfortunate. They want to divide the people and do politics over it,” he added.
