B-Town’s big Diwali plans

Date:

Diwali-the festival of lights is here and along with brightness and prosperity, the festival also becomes the talking point amongst fashionistas as festivities become the perfect occasion for celebs to flaunt their beautiful attires at their grand parties. Let’s take a look at what our tinsel town biggies are planning this year!

According to reports, the biggest Diwali party this year is slated to be that of the Bachchans – Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya – will play host to the creme de la creme of bollywood at their home Jalsa, in Juhu.

Also, Dabangg Khan Salman is likely to throw an impromptu bash at his house on the day his film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ releases.

You might be wondering what other Khans are planning! Right?

King Khan Shah Rukh will be working on ‘Dilwale’ promotions during the day and is expected to attend the Bachchans party at night.

Mr Perfectionist Aamir is currently shooting for ‘Dangal’ in Haryana where his wife Kiran is expected to join him with their baby Azad.

Reports have it; ‘Saifeena’ is expected to have a quiet Diwali at their Bandra home with their families – Karisma Kapoor, Soha and Kunal Kemmu.

Meanwhile, newly-wed Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput, this year, will keep the celebrations private at their Juhu Tara Road apartment. The couple will be joined by dad Pankaj Kapur along with Supriya Pathak, Sanah Kapur and Ruhaan.

Jeetendra and producer daughter Ekta Kapoor are also hosting a Diwali party at their Krishna bungalow in Juhu. According to reports, the party will be attended by bigwigs from Bollywood and small screen stars.

Actors like Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sidharth Malhotra, Bipasha Basu, Rani Mukerjee and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have chosen to celebrate Diwali with family this year.

While it’s a holiday for many, some workaholics would be treating it as just another day. ‘Chennai Express’ star Deepika Padukone will be promoting Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor in Delhi.

Even for Katrina and Sidharth Malhotra, who are shooting for their next, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ in Mumbai, Diwali will be a working day. Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Shraddha Kapoor are also dedicating this Diwali to work as they would be shooting for ‘Rock On 2’ in Shillong.

A few celebs chose to host a pre-Diwali bash on Monday.

Shilpa Shetty hosted a party on Monday. She wore a royal blue lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra, whereas Sridevi donned a black suit with pink flowers printed on it.
