Modi not intolerant, wants inclusive development: Mufti

Date:

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Muhammed Sayeed said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not intolerant and only wants inclusive development for all.

Speaking to the media at the sidelines of a function, the CM said, “Modi is not intolerant. He is the Prime Minister of such a big country. He joined hands with us (Peoples Democratic Party) while we have just three members in the Lok Sabha. He must have a vision for doing so.”

Referring to the PM’s imminent November 7 visit to the state was an event people has big expectations from.

“People have expectations from his visit since his slogan has always been for development. He is focusing on issues facing J&K,” Sayeed said.

When asked about Indo-Pakistan relations, Sayeed said that hostility between the two nations has not fetched anything so far, and it will be good for India to have friendly relations with Pakistan.
