Bihar polls: PM Modi appeals to people to vote in large numbers in second phase

Polling for the second phase of the five-phase Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 am amid tight security in 32 constituencies spread over six districts on Friday.

New Delhi: In India, conducting elections is a challenge, but a bigger challenge is getting people out to vote.

With the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections underway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged the people of the state to vote in large numbers.

“Today is the second phase of polling in the Assembly elections and I appeal to everyone to cast their votes without fail,” The Prime Minister tweeted.

Polling for the second phase of the five-phase Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 am amid tight security in 32 constituencies spread over six districts on Friday.

A total of 86,13,870 voters from Kaimur, Rohtas, Arwal, Jehanabad, Aurangabad and Gaya districts will decide the fate 456 candidates.
