Karachi: Fourteen stranded Pakistanis have arrived in Lahore from Delhi via the Dosti bus. They were earlier scheduled to return home by the Samjhauta Express.

According to The Dawn, their Indian visas had expired and they were to return to Lahore by the Samjhauta Express, but they could not travel due to the farmers’ agitation in Indian-administered Punjab.

Railway authorities in Lahore said they hoped the Samjhauta Express would resume from Thursday.

An immigration official at the Wagah check post said that 30 Pakistanis had arrived there on Monday on foot like the 72 Indians who had crossed the Wagah-Attari border. The visa of the passengers had expired, added the official.
