RBI to announce 4th bi-monthly monetary policy for current fiscal today

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will unveil its fourth bi-monthly monetary policy for the current fiscal on Tuesday.

Analysts, economists and bankers are predicting a quarter point cut by the RBI on Tuesday.

Governor Raghuram Rajan has left the main rate unchanged at 7.25 percent in August after three cuts in 2015 to meet the inflation target of 6 percent by January.
