The chocolate boy of Bollywood has made it big due to his charm and personality. Early life:
He is the son of yesteryear actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and he is the great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor and the grandson of actor-director Raj Kapoor.
The Kapoor lad was a mediocre student and left for New York City to pursue filmmaking after 12th grade. Nevertheless, he found learning about cinema in school to be “useless”, and preferred being on an actual set and so he returned back to Mumbai and started his career by assisting director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and later made his acting debut with the director’s 2007 film ‘Saawariya’, which couldn’t do well at the BO but the actor won the Filmfare award for best male debut.

Ranbir is definitely one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood but he got his first commercial success with ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ in 2008. And after that, Ranbir gave some back to back hits like ‘Wake Up Sid!’, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani’, ‘Rajneeti’ to name a few. The biggest thing that happened to Ranbir was Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ in 2011, which gave him extreme success and made him an overnight star.
