New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said his upcoming visit to USA is aimed at building on the “substantial ground” covered during his last trip and President Barak Obama’s visit here earlier this year.

In a series of tweets ahead of his visit to Ireland and USA beginning on September 23, Modi said he will have bilateral meetings with some foreign leaders and meet top investors in New York besides interacting with Indian community in San Jose.

“My visit to Ireland, a first by a PM in almost 60 years, will focus on improving people-to-people & economic ties,” Modi said.

“My USA visit will build on the substantial ground covered during my visit last year & President Obama’s visit to India earlier this year,” the Prime Minister added.

“In New York, I will take part in summits, bilateral meetings & meetings with top investors,” he said.

In New York, Modi will be addressing the UN General Assembly.

He said his visit to West Coast of USA will focus on start-ups, innovation and technology and how to further support them in India.

“Indian diaspora has been a source of immense strength for us. Will interact with Indian community in San Jose,” he added.
