Washington: There is a good news for all the Samsung lovers, who actually feel sick when their battery dies in the middle of some important conversations.
Well, Korean smartphone maker is planning to double the battery life of smartphones without increasing the size.
According to latest reports, Samsung’s scientists have developed lithium-ion battery technology that promises much longer-lasting power packs.
The scientists used a silicon anode, but grew layers of graphene on top to improve the density and longevity, that would otherwise suffer. The upgrade might not be showing up in the gadgets for a while.
This is still a research project and it could take years before Samsung translates its breakthrough into real-world products.
Besides mobile devices, this would extend far beyond phones to reach laptops, tablets and all the other gadgets.
