This whole village has TVs, thanks to Salman

Date:

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, whose mere presence in a movie is sufficient to make it a hit, has many faces apart from being an actor.

The actor has set up a charitable trust ‘Being Human Foundation’ for the cause of underprivileged and the NGO Being Human which sells T-shirts and other merchandise.

Although Salman is out on a bail in the 2002 hit-and-run case, it takes him far from this ‘being human’ image.

Different shades of Salman:

Earlier, Sallu Bhai was in news for adopting an impoverished woman and her family. And later, at the time of shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dabangg Khan along with co-stars Kareena Kapoor, director Kabir Khan and good friend music composer Himesh Reshammiya visited the village of Hatluni in Karjat and decided to help the villagers by doing something simple, but extravagant in its own way for them. The whole team painted the village in Rajasthan. Isn’t this awesome?

Apart from the charitable work that Salman’s organization Being Human does, the actor often goes out of his way to help the people in need.

Earlier in Kashmir only, while shooting for his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan helped a poor old lady who asked for his help. Salman Khan repaired her house and gave his son a job on the sets of his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Well that’s not the only thing according to latest buzz; Salman went out of his way to help families of a small town, where the actor was busy shooting for a song from his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

How it all happened?

It was during the shooting of a very special song from his film at the Ashmugam Dargah near Pahalgam, Kashmir, where the actor gifted television sets to residents of the town. While shooting the song, a lot of villagers gathered around to get a glimpse of the actor. Looking at the localites, Salman felt loved and after finishing the shooting, Sallu Bhai interacted with them. After talking to them, Salman realized that most of the families don’t have a television set at their home and neither do they have any other means to watch films. The locals are big Bollywood fans but they don’t have television sets at their home, and there are no theatres around, so it becomes difficult for them to watch Bollywood films. After knowing the fact that the people want television sets but can’t afford to buy one, Salman instantly called his team and asked them to get every house in the town a television set. After this, Salman’s team installed television sets in few houses and is currently working on bringing TV sets for the remaining houses.

Isn’t this another good sight of Salman?

Meanwhile, on the project front Salman is all set to rock the silver screen with his upcoming flick Bajrangi Bhaijaan, releasing this Eid.
