Nitish tells Amit, practice yoga, then preach

Date:

New Delhi: This summer, yoga has just made its way through Indian politics. How? While everyone’s talking about it, there are some who are recommending it to their colleagues as well.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar commented on BJP president Amit Shah’s visit to Patna on International Yoga day, asking Shah to practice yoga regularly rather than do politics over it.

Kumar said, “Has he seen his body whether it is suitable to do yoga? He should practice yoga silently at home everyday to stay fit. This will bring internal change in him too.”

BJP has been thoroughly involved in the preparations for the upcoming International Yoga Day on June 21, boosting school and educational institutions for the participation.

“Yoga is very useful and should be practiced sincerely at home for good health. But BJP is indulging in show off in the name of yoga which is triggering dispute,” he added.

Shah’s presence in Patna on International Yoga Day on June 21 is considered as BJP’s efforts to derive political mileage ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls later this year.
