You may not lose a year if you lost marks

Date:

Mumbai: Have you have unfortunately failed in your HSC or SSC? Biting your nails thinking how you will compensate for the one year that you will lose? Fret not. I bring some good news.

From now on, the students who were not able to pull it off in the HSC or the SSC will have another chance to clear by May-end and the results will be declared in June, education Minister Vinod Tawde said.

Students who clear exams in May can apply for college admissions in June.

Till now, students who fail in HSC and SSC exams were given a chance to reappear in September-October. Since the results will be declared only by December, they will be able to take college admissions only by June the next year.

The new move will help failed students to save one year.

However, there is no clarity whether the September-October examinations will continue or not.
