Raghav Chandra gets additional charge of AS, DoAR&E

New Delhi: Senior IAS officer Raghav Chandra was on Thursday given additional charge of Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DoAR&E). 

Chandra, a 1982 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, is working as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in Department of Agriculture and Cooperation. 

He will hold the additional charge for three months, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training. 

The vacancy had come up after Pradeep Kumar Pujari, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, was on Tuesday appointed as Power Secretary. Pujari was working as Special Secretary and Financial Adviser in DoAR&E. 

Also, Bharti S Sihag has been given additional charge of the post of Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. 

Sihag, a 1983 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, is presently Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in Steel Ministry. She will hold the additional charge for three months, it said. 

The vacancy had come up after Shashi Shekar, who was working as Special Secretary in the ministry, was recently appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. 

Another senior IAS officer Jugal Kishore Mohapatra will hold the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Fertilisers until Anuj Bishnoi, who has been named as new Secretary for the department, assumes charge of the post.
