Karan is Fox-ed!

Date:

Dharma Productions is one of Bollywood’s most successful production houses. It is led by one of India’s most visible entertainment industry celebrities, the producer, director, writer and television host — Karan Johar.

Though he has had cameos in the past, Johar recently also had a full acting role in Anurag Kashyap’s movie, ‘Bombay Velvet.’

With quite a number of offbeat films taking centre stage at the box office this year, Dharma Productions which is gearing up for its share of huge releases this year, has inked one of the biggest deals.

Karan’s Dharma Productions has entered into a partnership with Fox to co-produce and distribute nine films worldwide over three years.

In the past, it was UTV that had been distributing almost all the films that were produced under the Dharma banner.

However, Dharma’s only venture with Fox prior to this deal was for the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer My Name is Khan.

According to reports, Dharma Productions is looking at a much bigger international release for their forthcoming films and hence has tied up with Fox to recreate the success of their previous venture My Name is Khan.

Though currently no official confirmation is available, an announcement on the same is expected in the coming days.
