2015 is touted to be one of the best years for technological advancement in the domain of cars and automobile experience for people around the globe. The year is set to bring some newer versions of old cars and many brand new ones as well.

The following list will introduce you to the newest set of wheels around town that you can drive and experience, with the ex-showroom prices of each and the facelifts introduced.

1. Volvo XC90

Owing to popular demand, Volvo has preponed the launch of its flagship XC90 model to May. Speeding up its pace towards launching the coolest cars in the country, the new XC 90 will make or break model for the Geely-owned carmaker.

 

2. BMW 6 Series

BMW recently launched the updated 6 Series Gran Coupe facelift in the country at the curtain raiser of the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2015. Launched in two variants – 640d Eminence and 640d Design Pure Experience – the vehicle comes at a starting price of Rs. 1.15 crore.

 

3. Nissan Terrano Groove edition

The new Nissan Terrano Groove has been launched in India in the XL (O) grade and is priced at Rs 11.45 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the same price as the lower spec-ed regular XL+ trim.

 

4. Audi RS 7 Sportback

The new Audi RS 7 Sportback has got minor tweaks to the front and rear bumper as well as redesigned head and tail lamps in comparison to the RS 7 launched last year. It comes in via the CBU route and is priced at Rs 1.4 crore.

 

5. Mercedes Benz S600 Guard

S-Guard S600, the armoured version of its standard S600 has been launched with a whopping price tag of 8.9 crore in India in 2015. S600 Guard, Mercedes’ safest offering, is the third armoured product to be offered in India by the company after E Guard and M Guard.

 

6. Mini Cooper S 3-door

Mini had opened sales of the Cooper S 3-door in India in March 2015. The new Mini Cooper S 3-door (that’s the only available version as of now) comes in via the CBU route and is priced at Rs 34.65 lakh, ex-showroom, pan-India. The car looks similar to the diesel minis, just there are significant changes made in the engine.

 

7. Audi TT

Audi has launched the new 2015 TT in India at Rs 60.34 lakh. The new generation TT is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine that develops 230PS of power and 350Nm of torque.

 

8. BMW i8

BMW has launched the new 2015 i8 hybrid sportscar in India at a price of Rs 2.29 crore. The i8 will become the first ‘I’ cars from the BMW stable to enter India. The car’s amazing and futuristic carbonfibre body combined with a set of butterfly doors makes the i8 most desirable sportscar of the year.

 

9. i20 Active

The highly-anticipated i20 Active crossover was launched in India at the price range of Rs 6.38 lakh – 8.89 lakh. Based on the new-gen i20, the crossover shares its features and engine line-up with the former.

 

10. Tata GenX Nano

The much-anticipated 2015 Tata Nano GenX has been launched in the Indian market at a staring price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The newly introduced AMT (Easy Shift) version, however, starts at Rs 2.69 lakh.

 

11. Tata Safari Storme Facelift

Tata Motors has launched the facelifted avatar of its Safari Storme in India at a starting price of ₹10.41 lakh. The new 2015 Safari Storme facelift gets changes both inside and outside and most importantly there are also changes in regard to the engine of the model.

 

12. Swift Dzire Facelift

Maruti Suzuki India had launched the 2015 Swift Dzire facelift in the Indian market in the price range of Rs 5.07 lakh – Rs 7.81 lakh. Talking about the exterior updates, the 2015 Maruti Swift Dzire get a new single-chrome slat grille, fog lamps with chrome inserts, smoked head-lamps, revised bumpers and new alloy wheels.

 

13. Hyundai Verna Facelift

Hyundai had launched its new Verna facelift in India with a price tag of Rs 7.74 lakh. The new Verna, christened 4S Fluidic Verna, does not carry dramatic changes in terms of its styling and design. 

 

14. Toyota Camry Facelift

Toyota India launched the 2015 Camry facelift in the Indian market. The petrol model of the saloon is priced at Rs 28.80 lakh, the hybrid version comes at Rs 31.92 lakh.

 

15. XUV500 Facelift

The facelift of XUV 500 was long awaited and now company has launched the updated version of the car with staggering changes. Known by the name New Age XUV500, the car has been launched at the price tag of INR 11.21 lacs. A total of six variants have been launched by the carmaker with the top end model going as high as INR 15.99 lacs.
