Rekha’s ‘silsila’ of insecurity

Date:

New Delhi: The recent buzz of Silsila actress Rekha quitting Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor has left Bollywood in shock.

Yes, you read it right!

Rekha has bid goodbye to Fitoor, also starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor and it’s not her director, script or any co-star’s fault. She left for her own reasons.

According to sources the super glamorous diva of B-town left Fitoor because of Katrina Kaif.

No, Kat did not get into any arguable mess with her senior, but according to the grapevine, the ‘stunning looks’ of Katrina Kaif is something the Rekha could not adjust with.

We hear that Rekha, who is always very particular about her role in the movies, was closely monitoring her scenes while the movie was being filmed.

Also, it is reported that 60-year-old vivacious beauty actually sat before the monitor after every shot and gave a go-ahead for the takes.

“There was a scene where Rekha and Katrina shared the screen space and after the shoot, when Rekha monitored that scene, she asked Abhishek to either remove the scene, else remove Katrina from it. As Abhishek did not entertain the veteran’s request, she threatened to walk out which she eventually did,” informed the source.

Despite trying to maintain peace with the ‘golden beauty’, she refused shifting her stand, following which Tabu was roped in for the movie.

Luckily, Tabu had not taken up anything after Haider. And she was familiar with the Kashmiri milieu after doing the film. She fitted perfectly for the role.

‘Kai Po Che’ director Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’ will be released in February 2016.
