Oops Depp did it again!

Date:

It’s a dog’s life, they say. Not really, especially when you’re Johnny Depp’s pet dogs. In that case, you fly high, even if your master is at the risk of being behind the bars. You didn’t quite get that, did you?

Johnny Depp’s pets Pistol and Boo last time made headlines when they were flown to Australia with Depp during his shoot of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”, without prior permissions as this is illegal there.

This time again, they are in the limelight for the same reasons and this could land Depp in some serious trouble, as Australia has strict rules to keep disease at bay, requiring cats and dogs from the US to spend at least 10 days in quarantine.

But Depp appears to have ignored the rules, arriving in Brisbane last month with the Yorkshire terriers in tow without declaring them to customs. Earlier, the star flew them in on his private jet and asked his wife, Amber Heard, to watch them.

According to recent reports, an ongoing investigation found that Depp, his fellow passengers and the flight crew did not declare the dogs’ presence, and they were only discovered after the pups were taken to a local groomer and photos were posted on social media.

The Australian Minister for Agriculture, Barnaby Joyce, then threatened to have the Yorkies euthanized unless they were flown out of the country within 50 hours.

However, the Hollywood superstar could be facing jail time over his decision to illegally bring his two dogs into Australia.

An Australian Senate committee said if the matter goes to court and the Pirates of the Caribbean star is found guilty, he could face up to 10 years in jail or a maximum fine of USD 265,000.

The pilot could also face up to two years behind bars for his role in the situation.

Officials have referred to the case as “very serious”.
