CBSE declares Class XII results girls outshine boys again

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared results for Class XII examinations.

In keeping with previous trends, girls again outscored boys with a pass percentage of 87.56% versus 77.7%.

The total pass percentage this year is 82%. M Gayatri from New Greenfield Public School in New Delhi’s Saket, has topped the Class XII exams by scoring a spectacular 496 marks out of 500.

Saurabh Bhambri is one of the second topper in CBSE class 12 results. He scored 495 along with many others, including Mythili Mishra.

Students can check their results on http://www.cbseresults.nic.in and http://www.cbse.nic.in.

Besides the websites, the results can be accessed via SMS on 57766 (BSNL) and 7738299899 (national informatics centre).

The results can also be accessed through interactive voice response system (IVRS) at a charge of 30 paise per minute.

CBSE has asked schools under the Delhi region to collect the results from the office of the respective zonal office of Deputy Director of Education after the declaration of the results.

The CBSE Class 10 examination results are also likely to be announced in a few days.

Results can also be obtained through the interactive voice response system by calling the number (011) 24300699, or via MTNL at (011) 28127030. The IVRS charges are 30 paise per minute.

The SMS rate is Re 1 per roll number and the numbers are: 57766 (BSNL) and 7738299899 (national informatics centre).
