Piku’s ‘motion and emotion’ strike a chord

The Indian moviegoers know the bad from the good. While they reject the average scripts and loose plots, they like stuff that’s different; they like stuff that’s entertaining. Which is why, after Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar Is Back’, it’s Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Piku’ which has tasted success at the box office.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film is in its second week and yet getting cash registers jingling. Piku continues to spread its magic worldwide and has turned out to become the biggest hit of 2015.

Running successfully in its second successive week, Piku has broken records worldwide. The comedy family drama has been loved by the critics and audiences alike.

In fact, Piku Padukone threw an impromptu success bash for her industry friends recently to celebrate the success.

The movie crossed the 100 crore mark collecting Rs. 107.34 crores worldwide. It collected over Rs. 80 crores from the domestic markets and Rs. 27.34 crores from the international front.

The emotional storyline has touched the lives of millions. The makers and the entire team can now truly rejoice and celebrate the success of their movie whose response is overwhelming.
