Wembley sorry for Middlesbrough ticket gaffe

Date:

Officials from Wembley Stadium issued an apology on Tuesday after misspelling Middlesbrough’s name on tickets for Monday’s Championship play-off final against Norwich City.

Middlesbrough was incorrectly spelt ‘Middlesborough’ on the tickets.

A spokesman from Wembley Stadium apologised, saying: “It was a human error.”

Middlesbrough, who finished fourth in the Championship, are bidding to return to the Premier League after a six-year absence, while Norwich, who came third, are attempting to bounce back at the first attempt.
