Amethi, Uttar Pradesh:Â Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will be on a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi starting Monday.
He will address a public meeting in Kasara village on Tuesday. Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Rajiv Singh said Gandhi will “inaugurate a number of projects completed from his MP fund including marriage houses, solar water pumps and some roads.”
Gandhi’s tour comes days after Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani visited the constituency. She had accused the Congress vice-president of misleading the people of Amethi as well as the Parliament over the food park issue.
Rahul Gandhi will go to villages and meet dependents of the farmers, who lost their lives after suffering damage to their crops in recent untimely rains and hailstorms.
