Nepal govt asked NDRF to demobilize for rehabilitation work should not be taken in other sense: Kiren Rijiju

Date:

New Delhi: Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said that Nepal government has asked the NDRF forces to demobilise so that reconstruction and rehabilitation work can be started and that the same should not be taken in any other sense. Rijiju said that the team did a tremendous work in Nepal and the government asked to demobilize because rescue and relief work is almost complete and there hardly is any chance of finding any survivor. Rescue teams from India and 33 other countries were asked by Nepal to leave as it prepared to launch massive operations to rehabilitate millions of uprooted victims of the devastating temblor on April 25 that has killed at least 7,365 people, including 41 Indians.
