New Delhi: Those of you who think 3D gives the ultimate kick, here is an update.Â
Multiplex chain operator PVR on Wednesday said it has joined hands with Las Vegas-based CJ 4DPLEX to bring 4D cinema-viewing technology.Â
If all goes well, its first 15-screen multiplex will come up at Logix City Centre in Noida with 4 DX technology, the company said in a statement.Â
The technology features motion, wind, lightning, vibration, fog, rain, snow, rainstorm and scents that go far beyond 3D.Â
It offers a complete visual, aural, olfactory and tactile experience to cinema-viewing, said PVR.Â
PVR CEO Gautam Dutta said: “Introducing 4DX will be another step to offering finest movie experience to our patrons here. PVR has always aimed to give the best to its audience, and we see a promising future for this technology in our country.”Â
CJ 4DPLEX CEO Byun Hwan Choi concurred: “Our partnership with PVR is a great opportunity for 4DX to accelerate expansion in the world’s largest film producing country.”Â
Currently, PVR is running 471 screens at 106 properties across 44 cities.
