New Delhi: US department of transportation would offer sustainable transport solutions to three Indian smart cities, said a government statement. These three cities- Allahabad, Ajmer and Visakhapatnam-will be developed as smart cities with the help of the US Government.
US secretary of transportation Anthony Foxx, along with a nine-member delegation, met Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and junior minister Babul Supriyo in New Delhi.
The meeting focused on cooperation on the transportation elements of smart cities, including efficient public transportation systems, intelligent transport systems, traffic information and control.
