Washington: The California’s Court of Appeals has denied Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine Jackson’s appeal for new trail by stating that the concert promoter AEG was in no way responsible for singer’s death.
Katherine claimed that concert executives had undue control over her son’s doctor, Conrad Murray and failed to properly investigate him before hiring, whereas court announced its decision that MJ’s ill-fated comeback concerts was not responsible for his death.
The court also upheld rulings by a district trial court judge, who narrowed the case to a single claim that AEG negligently hired, retained and supervised the doctor later convicted of causing the moon-walker’s death.
Marvin S Putnam, attorney of AEG said that in a strongly worded opinion, the court has declared that AEG was in no way responsible for the tragic death of the singing sensation.
Kevin Boyle, an attorney for Katherine Jackson asserted that his office was still reading the ruling and did not have an immediate comment.
